Acupuncture
What is Acupuncture and how does it work?
Acupuncture is a form of Chinese medicine and one of the most widely accepted natural healing methods used today. This is a holistic form of preventative medicine in use for over 5,000 years.
The Chinese view the human body as a giant “power grid”. It is an organized, communicating system of energy pathways called Meridians. These pathways run through the entire human body like the nerves and blood vessels do. Our vital energy continuously circulates within these energetic pathways. Acupuncture is based on the belief that good health is maintained through free flow of energy within this network of meridians.
Imbalance within the meridians systems causes blockages in our bodies. These blockages block the flow of energy, causing physical, mental and emotional symptoms.
Acupuncture encourages the body to promote natural healing. Fine acupuncture needles are inserted just below the skin at specific points along the meridians. Recently, scientific research has confirmed their locations. Through acupuncture, it removes blocked energy, which usually manifest as dis-ease on the physical, mental or emotional body. Acupuncture regulates and strengthens our internal as well as our external body in order to restore harmony & wellness.
